The episcopal consecration of Bishop Joseph Selway

On February 22, 2018, Feast of Saint Peter’s Chair at Antioch, at the Seminar of the Most Holy Trinity in Brooksville, Florida (USA), Mons Donald Sanborn conferred episcopal consecration to Rev. Joseph Selway.

Bishop Geert Stuyver from the Mater Boni Consilii Institute was also present at the ceremony, as bishop co-consecrator together with Bishop D. Dolan. Our Institute congratulates the new bishop, who began his studies at Verrua Savoia, and wishes him a fruitful apostolate.

Joseph Selway was born in 1978 in Walnut Creek, California. In 1996 he began his seminary studies at the Institute Mater Boni Consilii in Verrua Savoia, Italy, and then completed his training at Most Holy Trinity Seminary, in Michigan under the direction of the Most Reverend Donald Sanborn.

He was ordained by the Most Reverend Robert McKenna in 2001, on December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. In 2003 Fr. Selway moved to Brooksville under the direction of Most Reverend Donald Sanborn to teach at Queen of All Saints Academy School and to assist the Sisters of St. Thomas Aquinas.

He was consecrated by the Most Reverend Donald Sanborn in 2018, on February 22, the Feast of Saint Peter’s Chair at Antioch. He is presently the vice-rector of Most Holy Trinity Seminary, assists the parish and teaches at Queen of All Saints Academy in Brooksville, Florida.
